Killark is a leading manufacturer of electrical enclosures and junction boxes, designed
for use in wet, harsh and hazardous environments. When selecting an enclosure, its ratings should meet or
exceed the requirements based on the application and area of use.
Upon selection of a specific enclosure, factory modifications can be specified, such as:
- Drilling and tapping for conduit openings
- Machining & installation of control operators, circuit breaker handles, glass lenses
- Mounting pan installation and special drilling
- Addition of enclosure accessories hinges, drains & breathers, terminal blocks
- Control wiring
- Additional machining, assembly or system wiring as required

ATEX Compliant Enclosures, including Killark EXB, GR, and HK Series, are certified to the ATEX (ATmospheres EXplosibles)
Directive. This directive specifies the requirements in the European Union (EU) for explosion protected equipment and
protective systems, by prescribing essential health and safety standards.
While CENELEC Standards for design of products are used, protection within the ATEX Directive is taken to a higher level.
The scope extends to explosion and mechanical equipment protection. Classification of the equipment has been re-organized,
along with the certification and marking of it. Many non-EU countries have followed CENELEC Standards and may also require
products to be ATEX Approved.
CENELEC/ATEX Approval of enclosures is of interest to OEMs who build and ship apparatus into European Markets, and also for
Engineering and Construction Firms who specify and buy products for overseas installation.
The Bolted Enclosure product range features ATEX Compliant Quantum® EXB
Series, as well as Series B7E, standard and compact sizes, for Class I, Div. 1 and NEMA 4X areas. Also included are XB and XJB (extended cover type)
Series junction boxes for explosion-proof applications, plus DB Series Class II (dust-ignition proof) enclosures.
The Terminal Enclosure product range includes housings in stainless steel or
non-metallic FRP (fiberglass reinforced polyester), that are pre-configured with DIN rail mounted terminals
installed. Models are available for Class I, Div. 2 and NEMA 4X power & control applications or for use with intrinsically
safe circuits.
The Threaded Enclosure product range includes compact explosion-proof
aluminum outlet bodies with terminal blocks installed, up to ATEX Compliant GR Series enclosures with threaded blank,
lens and dome covers.
The Instrument Enclosure product range includes GRM Series explosion-proof
NEMA 4X rated instrument housings, plus ATEX Compliant HK & double cover 2HK Series explosion-proof NEMA 4 rated enclosures,
with a selection of 6 different cover types. A stainless steel version of the HK Series is also available.
The Enclosure Accessories product range includes mounting pans,
hinges, drains & breathers, round or rectangular glass lenses, circuit breaker handles, terminal blocks and external
G Series control operators, such as push buttons, pilot lights, selector switches and specialty operators.
